• मूल तंत्र :- एक प्रकार की मूल और इसकी शाखाओं का तंत्र मूल तंत्र कहलाता है।

• ये मूल तंत्र दो प्रकार का होता है :- 

(1) मूसला मूल तंत्र :- मूसला मूल प्राथमिक मूल होती है जो सीधे ही भ्रूण के मूलाकुर के दीर्घिकरण से बनती है और ये जीवनपर्यन्त स्थायी रहती है। मूसला मूल उर्ध्व रूप से नीचे की तरफ वृद्धि करती है।

• इन पर तिरछी या क्षैतिज रूप से व्यवस्थित द्वितीयक जड़ें अग्राभिसारी क्रम में बनती है। इससे निकलने वाली शाखाएँ द्वितीयक मूल कहलाती हैं ।

• द्वितीयक मूल से तृतीयक मूल भी अग्राभिसारी क्रम में निकलती है। तृतीयक जड़ें विभिन्न दिशा में विन्यासित रहती है। अंतिम मूल शाखाएँ मूलिका (Root let) कहलाती है। मूलिका पर मूल गोप व मूल रोम पाये जाते है। 

मूसला मूल तत्र दो प्रकार होता है-

(1) असीमाक्षी प्रकार (Racemose type)               (II) समीमाक्षी प्रकार (Cymose type)

(i) असीमाक्षी प्रकार (Racemose type ) :- इसमें प्राथमिक मूल भूमि की आन्तरिक परतों में चली जाती है व द्वितीयक व तृतीयक मूल छोटी होती है। जैसे- आम, पीपल, बरगद

(ii) समीमाक्षी प्रकार (Cymose type):- इसमें प्राथमिक मूल छोटी व द्वितीयक मूल लम्बी होती है तथा ये भूमि सतह के नीचे फैली रहती है। जैसे- सोलेनम नाइग्रम (Solanum nigrum) [मकोय]

English Translation 

• Root system: - One type of root and its branch system is called root system.

 • This basic system is of two types :-

 (1) Tuberous root system :- Tuberous root is the primary root which is directly formed by the elongation of the radicle of the embryo and it remains permanent throughout life. The tap root grows vertically downwards.

 • On these, secondary roots arranged obliquely or horizontally are formed in forward-facing order. The branches coming out of it are called secondary roots.

 • From the secondary root, the tertiary root also emerges in the forward direction. Tertiary roots are oriented in different directions. The last root branch is called root let. Mool Gop and Mool Rome are found on Moolika.

Pestle root system is of two types-

(I) Racemose type               (II) Cymose type

 (i) Racemose type :- In this the primary root goes into the inner layers of the soil and the secondary and tertiary roots are small. Like- Mango, Peepal, Banyan

(ii) Cymose type:- In this the primary root is short and the secondary root is long and it extends below the ground surface. Like- Solanum nigrum [Makoy]
